ZOE RICHARDS

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Zoe Richards (she/her/hers) resides in Reno, NV where she enjoys everything the high desert and Sierra Nevada mountains has to offer. Zoe holds a degree in Recreation Management with an emphasis in Nonprofit and Volunteer Management and is passionate about community development through recreation and outdoor access. As the Executive Director of The Roam Collective, she is eager to curate inclusive spaces and expand access for non-traditional riders.

STEPH MEYER

PARA/ADAPTIVE COORDINATOR

Steph Meyer (she/her/hers), lives in Gunnison, CO. She is a dedicated outdoor professional with a passion for inclusivity and mountain biking. From advocating for inclusive design to championing adaptive sports, her commitment to making the outdoors accessible to all has been her driver. While working in the adaptive industry she has worked with local trail builders to transform local trails into more accessible and inclusive spaces. Along with trails she has also teamed up with local race series to introduce a handcycle class, ensuring everyone can participate in the thrill of the race. Steph has traveled all over the country riding with adaptive riders through past and current roles and continues to advocate in new ways with The Roam Collective.  

Rachel Olzer

RACHEL OLZER

DIRECTOR OF INCLUSION

Rachel Olzer (she/they), from Bentonville, Arkansas, is a diverse activist, organizer, writer, and speaker. Inspired by early outdoor and cycling experiences, she founded Pedal 2 the People (@pedal2thepeople) to amplify BIPOC voices in cycling. Rachel's work appears in publications like BIKE Magazine and Patagonia's The Cleanest Line, and she's been featured on podcasts like We Got to Hangout and The Adventure Stache. Currently, as the Executive Director of All Bikes Welcome, a Northwest Arkansas nonprofit, she promotes equity in cycling and outdoor spaces while supporting community organizers through The Roam Collective.

BROOKE GOUDY

PROGRAM COORDINATOR - ROAM ROWDIES

Brooke Goudy (she/her/hers) lives in Denver, CO, where (among a wildly long list of community-leading extracurriculars) she is a co-leader of Black Girls Do Bike Denver and serves on the Denver Mayoral Advisory Board. She is the operational manager and owner of Rowdy Goudy, a health and wellness organization dedicated to introducing cycling to women of color and redefining what it means to participate in active living. Her love for biking extends to conservation and advocacy for trails, and she serves as a member of the board of directors for the Boulder Mountain Bike Alliance. She joined the Roam Collective to continue celebrating and elevating Black joy in mountain biking.

ALEXA EVERSON

BIPOC FELLOWSHIP COORDINATOR

Alexa Everson (she/her/hers) is a Southern California-raised and Colorado-based cyclist, hiker, trail runner, backpacker, travel guide, creator, writer, educator, and advocate. She uses her past experience with geology, active tourism, advocacy work, and all forms of cycling to make spaces for other outdoor-curious BIPOC to thrive. In addition to her work with The Roam Collective, she helps run Thee Abundance Project, serves as a board member for Grounded Nebraska, and is one-eighth of The Black Foxes, an international collective of unapologetically Black cyclists and outdoors-people that are reclaiming their narratives in the outdoors.

ARIEL KAZUNAS

BOARD CHAIR

Ariel Kazunas (she/her/hers) is a career outdoor industry professional, storyteller and advocate who lives in Jackson, WY, where she works to address housing insecurity and to eliminate gatekeeping in skiing and mountain biking. Ariel believes deeply in the power of play to maintain hope and inspire change and is thrilled to join the Roam Collective Board to put those beliefs to good work.

EFFANESIA BAKER

BOARD TREASURER

Effanesia Baker (she/her/hers) is a woman of color who lives in Grand junction, CO where she enjoys and is inspired by outdoor recreation. Her mission is to share experiences and bring awareness to the mountain biking community and other outdoor spaces for marginalized folks. Effo is elated to join The Roam Collective Board and continue to advocate for all in the outdoor community.
